iBot commercial wins prestigious INMA award

The TV commercial for iBot - The Ultimate Robot, won first prize at the 71st international newspaper marketing awards (INMA) this April in Chicago. Aimed at the youth market, the commercial promoted the programmable robot built from components given away with The Advertiser/Sunday Mail.

The 71st INMA Newspaper Marketing Awards honour excellence in newspaper marketing. With over a thousand entries from 37 countries the competition is judged by a team of high-level advertising, newspaper, and marketing professionals.

It’s a real achievement to win this award. Fusion’s film and television post production services are now acknowledged to be world class” Said Grant Lovering Fusion Director.

Fusion was engaged by Advertising agency KWP! to bring the iBot to life on the TV screen. Fusion directed and filmed the robot on HDCAM and completed all the post production and visual effects. The iBot's features are explained in a rotating 3-dimensional build up in stylised environment integrated in post that has the iBot duel with an old-school type robot.

KWP! was thrilled with the result and The Advertiser/Sunday Mail has acknowledged this advertisement has led to a very successful campaign.
