Xmas surprises

Santa’s moved

The Finnish Santa, known as Joulupukki, lives up north in Finland near the Arctic Circle, not the North Pole, according to the official Santa office. http://www.santaclauslive.com/main.php?link=joulupukin_kammari&kieli=eng.

He lives in a secret location, but his home is located on Korvatunturi-Ear mountain, so that he can hear the wishes of children all over the world.

According to This is Finland, Santa "…uses whatever means of transportation is best suited to the weather conditions." This might help us understand how he gets around so fast. What is it to be Santa, snow mobile, helicopter, lear jet, hovercraft, underground train or camel?

It’s not all happiness and merriment in Finland at Christmas though, as a visit to the cemetery to pay tribute to the dead is customary on Christmas Eve. Candles are lit at grave sites and family members gather around for some solemn songs. From http://finland.fi/public/default.aspx?contentid=160036&contentlan=2&culture=en-US
